I’ve been thinking a lot about copywriting…
Mostly because I’ve been creating my own copywriting digital products and tools, and speaking to lots of new and old clients.
And I’ve started to notice lots of myths floating around the Internet…
Here are a few of the myths I want to share with you.
I don’t want you to fall victim to these misconceptions, or worse… be manipulated by overconfident sales people and overpromising sales copy.
1. You can’t pay $200 for sales copy and expect it to make you rich
2. There’s no magic hack to 15X your conversions
3. Testing the small things like font type is more important than testing a sales page Vs a VSL. (You should test the big things first).
4. You need a super-attractive page to make sales. (Actually, boring sales pages convert better than flashy ones).
5. Imitating the ads you see every day on Facebook is a smart idea. (Most ads on Facebook don’t covert particularly well).
6. Copywriting fundamentals from a century ago no longer work.
7. Copying what everyone else is doing will make you lots of sales. (Not unless you carefully study and analyse your niche’s highest performers).
And the list goes on.
Anyway, these myths are dangerous to your bottom line.
Just something to think about.
